Kay E. Michael, 69, Warsaw, died at 7:23 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at Kosciusko County Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born April 18, 1946, in Wabash, to Walter and Wilma (Hamman) Keirn, both deceased. Kay was an executive secretary for 15 years at United Telephone Company, Warsaw. She married Richard Dean Michael on Sept. 26, 1992. He died on June 14, 1993. Kay graduated Valedictorian of the final graduating class of Sidney High School in 1964. She graduated with honors from International Business College, Fort Wayne.
Kay is survived by her stepmother: Jeanne Keirn, Marion; stepson: Larry Michael, Cromwell; daughter: Barbara Michael, Fairbanks, Alaska; stepdaughter: Cheryl (Roger) Earnst, Sumner; brothers: Karl Keirn, Collamer; Ken Keirn, Fernley, Nev.; sister: Karen Austin, North Manchester; grandson: Gabriel S. Anderson, Fairbanks, Alaska.
Calling hours will be from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at Warsaw Wesleyan Church, Warsaw. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, also at the church, officiated by Tom Coltrain.
Memorials may be made to the Kosciusko County Animal Shelter, Pierceton.
