NAPPANEE — A passenger in a vehicle driven by a Milford teen was taken to IU Health Goshen with non life threatening injuries following an accident early this morning, Sunday, Feb. 21.

Matthew Miller, 18, Nappanee, suffered a severe nose bleed in the accident.

The accident occurred at 2:46 a.m. on CR 50, west of CR 15, three miles east of Nappanee.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department reports John Earl Bontrager, 17, Milford, was driving a 2001 Pontiac westbound when the vehicle went off the roadway hitting a utility pole and a large rock. Bontrager was not injured.

Police report no citations were issued at the scene.
