
WINONA LAKE- The postseason is quickly approaching for the Grace College men’s basketball team.
The Lancers, who are ranked No. 25 in the latest NAIA poll, are currently tied for fourth place in the Crossroads League standings with just three conference games left on the schedule.
Grace sits at 18-9 overall and 8-7 in league play after an 88-81 conference loss at Goshen College Wednesday night.
Saint Francis leads the Crossroads League standings at 13-2. The Cougars, who are ranked No. 3, are 23-4 overall.
Grace is set to host No. 4 Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday at 3 p.m. IWU, which is ranked No. 4, is second in the league standings at 12-3 and are 24-3 overall. The Lancers will then play at Marian on Feb. 16 (7 p.m.) before hosting Mount Vernon on Feb. 20 (4 p.m.) in the league finale.
The Bethel men’s team, which is ranked No. 11, is in third place in the league standings at 10-5. The Pilots, who feature former Triton High School star Clay Yeo and former WCHS standout Jordyn Coon, are 21-6 overall on the season.
The Crossroads League tournament is set for Feb. 24-March 1.
The Marian women’s team leads the Crossroads League standings on the ladies’ side. Marian, which is ranked No. 3, is 24-3 overall and 15-0 in conference play. Goshen is second in the league standings at 12-3. The Grace women’s team is 1-14 in league play and in 10th place. The Lancers play at Indiana Wesleyan Saturday at 1 p.m. and then host Marian on Feb. 17 (7 p.m.) and Mount Vernon on Feb. 20 (2 p.m.) to conclude their regular season.
