Grace Soccer Remains Unbeaten

The Grace College women’s soccer team wrapped up a quick, two-game road trip with a 2-0 win over Marygrove College Wednesday in Detroit.

The Lancers dominated the contest with a 31-4 advantage in shots, including 15 shots on goal.

Freshman Darcy Johnston tallied a goal in an opening half that saw unbeaten Grace hit the crossbar multiple times.

The Lancers got a goal from Kaitlin Wiles in the final half for the 2-0 final. Holly Bennett picked up the assist on both goals.

Grace has now outscored its opponents 10-1 in a 3-0 start. The Lancers won 4-0 at Cincinnati Christian Monday as Mallory Rondeau scored three goals.

Carmen Barnhill recorded the shutout in goal for the Lancers Wednesday and had four saves.

Grace (3-0) hosts the Women’s National Team of Haiti Saturday at 4 p.m. at Miller Field in Winona Lake.
