Aziah E. Smith, 18, Columbia City, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, Feb. 6, 2016, in Marion. Born June 22, 1997, in Noblesville, she was the daughter of Earnest A. Smith, lll and Gina Faucett.
She had lived in Columbia City since 2001 and graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 2015. She was attending Ivy Tech College for nursing and worked at Dairy Queen part-time. Aziah was passionate about dancing. She started dancing when she was 4 years old and had been competing ever since.
Her loving family that survives includes her mother: Gina Faucett, Columbia City; father: Earnest A. Smith III, Louisville; grandparents: Rev. Barry Faucett, Columbia City; Juanita Smith, Ky.; brothers: TyCri J. Smith, Columbia City; Earnest Antonio Smith IV, Marion; Aaron Smith, South Bend; Lucas Harber, Columbia City; Chase Harber, Columbia City; sister: Brooklyn Harber, Columbia City; numerous aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandmother: Wanda Faucett; grandfather: Earnest A. Smith II; aunt: Cynthia Smith; and uncle: Kevin Evans.
Please join her family and friends for a celebration of life open house from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, Columbia City. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Tash officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Annex Cemetery, Columbia City.
