
WARSAW — Lakeland Art Center and Gallery, a fine arts organization, has returned to Warsaw. Originally located downtown Warsaw, the center moved to Pierceton where it has been located for a number of years. Today, the center is back in Warsaw, at 302 E. Winona Ave.
“We have three rooms for exhibits, a room for a gift shop and classroom space,” said Melodie Koher, LAA board president. The center will continue to offer classes for adults and children. “All artwork is for sale, so if you are looking for art for your home, come in.” The art work displayed, in various genre, is mostly from contemporary, local artists.
“We are excited. It is a very nice space and we are very excited to be back in Warsaw,” said Koher.
Darla McCammon, public relations coordinator and former board member, stated there are plans to offer lunch and learn lessons once a month, which will include a lunch.
The new center is located at the corner of High and Winona Avenue and hours are 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. For more details call (574) 269-1101.
