Charles A. Richardson, 65, Kewanna, passed away at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016.

Born on Jan. 22, 1951, in Rochester, he was the son of Kenneth and Phyllis (Smith) Richardson. Charlie formerly worked at Kewanna Metal Specialties retiring in 2014. He was a member of the V.F.W. Charlie enjoyed socializing, fishing with his boys and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a Purple Heart recipient who served in the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his children: Crystal (Chris) Thomas, Kewanna; Charles Richardson, Kewanna; Andrew Richardson, Mo.; and Shane Richardson, Kewanna; mother: Phyllis Richardson, Rochester; grandchildren: Alexis and Eli; and sisters: Sue and Kathy. He was preceded in death by his father: Kenneth Richardson; and brother: Gary Richardson.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel with Rev. Todd Wilson officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at the funeral home.
