Delbert C. Schaetzle Sr., 94, of Bourbon, passed away at 9:39 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, at his home.

He was born on Aug. 31, 1921, in Chicago, Ill., to Frank and Amy (Ritter) Schaetzle Sr.

He graduated from Bourbon High School in Bourbon, IN and was married on Dec. 6, 1941, in Bourbon to Alice Irene Stutzman who preceded him on Oct. 30, 2004. He retired from Bendix Corporation (now Allied-Signal) in South Bend, after 35 years.

He is survived by two sons: Delbert “Carl” Schaetzle, Bourbon; Joseph Schaetzle of Hudson, Fla.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; grandson: Derk Schaetzle, two sisters: Dorothy Tyler and Lena Askins; four brothers: Herbert, Frank, Norm and Fred Schaetzle.

Cremation will take place and no services are planned at this time. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw, is in charge of all arrangements.
