Marsha A. Koons, 75, Rochester, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at her residence.
She was born on May 16, 1940, in Muncie, the daughter of Orville and Dessie (Edwards) Renfroe. On Dec. 21, 1979, in Rochester, she married Donald D. Koons. He preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 2011.
Marsha worked at various companies over the years. She had been a bank teller, a secretary for Wayside Bowling Alley and Pride Care, both of Kalamazoo, Mich., and had worked for the former Burger Chef Corporation in Indianapolis in accounting. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Eagles Lodge. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing anything artistic, especially doing woodworking, painting and building furniture. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with all of her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter: Pamela Hammel, Rochester; sons: Mike (Laura) Cloud, Rochester; Jeff (Deb) Cloud, Rochester; Ty (Rita) Cloud, Rochester; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters: Georgia Townsend, Rochester; Cora (Richard) Reese, Denver.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law: Harold Townsend.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with Pastor Larry Pyeatt officiating. Friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester.
