SOUTH WHITLEY — Whitko’s Aly Reiff verbally committed to Xavier University Thursday evening.

The 5’11” junior guard chose the Cincinnati-based school over offers from Ball State, Akron, Belmont, Toledo, Wright State and Florida Atlantic. Reiff also received heavy interest from Iowa, Illinois and Southern Illinois, among others.

Reiff is currently averaging 19.3 points, 5.4 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 3.9 steals per game through Whitko’s 21 games this season. She has helped the Wildcats to a 5-2 Three Rivers Conference record, 15-6 overall mark and a No. 7 ranking in Class 2A this season.

Reiff ranks first in Whitko history in career scoring, points per game, career assists, career steals and career free throw percentage.

Xavier is currently 14-6 overall and 5-4 in the Big East. The Musketeers last made the NCAA Tournament in 2011.
