Violet Overholt, 86, Mentone, passed at 11:05 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital of Kokomo.
She was born on Feb. 16, 1929, in Kosciusko County, to Walter and Lola (Miller Parker) Overholt. She was a homemaker taking care of the elderly, her family members, and when the need arose she took care of babies and always enjoyed children. She was a member of the Burket United Methodist Church. She liked to do needle work, cook, and visiting with people.
Survivors include niece: Joyce (Ralph) Marley, Russiaville; nephew: Dennis Morris, Mentone; great-niece: Jennifer Marley, Zionsville; great-nephew: Michael (Michelle) Marley, Kokomo. She was preceded in death by parents and sister: Wilma Norris.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, at King Memorial Home, Mentone, officiated by Rev. Amber Karkosky-Litten. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, also at the funeral home.
