WINONA LAKE — Winona Lake Limitless Park’s accessible playground has arrived and, in just a few short months, will be ready for all kids to enjoy.

A local company, Metzger Trucking, Silver Lake, sent vehicles and drivers to Alabama Tuesday morning to pick up the equipment and deliver it to Winona Lake. Ken Knisly offered assistance unloading it.

“It was so exciting to watch years of dedication and hard work come full circle as the playground equipment was being delivered,” Winona Lake Limitless Park Director Holly Hummitch said. “Phase two is finally becoming a reality.”

A community build day will take place later this spring. Though an official date has not been set, volunteers from throughout the Winona Lake community will be invited to help assemble the playground.

“We are working on an estimate for foundation prep,” Hummitch said “We hope to have something scheduled in the very near future.”
