Open Auditions Held At Wagon Wheel

Local thespians are being sought by the Wagon Wheel Theatre for roles in upcoming holiday productions of “Oliver” and “I Want My Mummy!”

Children and teens from ages 9 years to 18 years old are welcome to audition for parts on Saturday, Aug. 25. Auditions begin at noon at the Wagon Wheel.

Auditions will consist of a short song and dance that will be taught that day.

The director is looking to fill the role of Oliver – a boy between the ages of 10 years to 14 years old – and the Artful Dodger – a boy between the ages of 10 years and 16 years old. There is also a girl’s role for the Nov. 18 through Dec. 16 production.

For the production of “I Want My Mummy!” – which runs from Oct. 7-28 – boys and girls between the ages of 9 years and 18 years old are being cast. All roles in both productions require signing and acting.

Additional roles for orphans and the ensemble will be cast.
