Barbara Marston NorrisBarbara Marston Norris, Winona Lake, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at Grace Village Health Care of Winona Lake at the age of 90. She enjoyed living for the past 10 years at Grace Village and was a faithful attendee of their Chapel.

She was born on June 19, 1925, in Seattle, Wash. to Dewey Egbert Marston and Alice May (Cathey) Marston. On June 9, 1951, she was married to Paul Clifton Norris, who passed away on March 25, 2010.

Barbara was raised in Cedar Lake, and attended Greenville College in Greenville, Ill. for two years and Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill. for two years where she received her Bachelors Degree in English. She supported herself during World War II and her college years working in the steel mills in Gary. Barbara started her career working for Child Evangelism in Louisville, Ky. but most of all she enjoyed her job as being a mother of seven children. She was extremely proud to point out that they were all college graduates.

She had been a resident of Kosciusko County, for the past 10 years, moving from Melbourne, Fla. Barbara was a staunch supporter of Community Cornerstone Church in York, Pa., which was started by her son, Mark Norris.

She will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters: Cathy (Edward) Kutch, Sevierville, Tenn.; Susan (Jeffrey) Kemper, Dover, Pa.; Gayle (Mike Malone) Trollinger, Findlay, Ohio; Barbara (Jeffrey) Cerny, Carol Stream, Ill.; two sons: Paul (Janice) Norris, Greenwood, Md.; Mark (Marla) Norris, Warsaw; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son: Jonathan James Norris; and a granddaughter: Angela Jean Norris; and her brother: Robert Marston.

Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. Her funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. and officiated by Pastor Jeff Pfeifer. A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.

Memorial donations may be directed to Grace Village Retirement Community and would be appreciated by the family.
