Eugene L. “Gene” Druckamiller, 86, Syracuse, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1962, in Syracuse, to Leo and Alma (Heide) Druckamiller. On July 7, 1962 he married Laurabelle Skelton who survives. He was a Korean War era US Army veteran. He retired from Liberty Homes after 52 years of service. He was a member of the Syracuse Church of God as well as the Syracuse American Legion.

He is survived by his wife: Laurabelle Drukamiller, Syracuse; one son: Larry (Donna) Druckamiller, Warsaw; one stepson: Michael (Patty) Clark, Tampa, Fla.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother: Arden (Fran) Drukamiller, Indianapolis; one sister: Delores Hepler, Milford. He was preceded in death by one brother.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at the Eastlund Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Owen officiating. Burial will follow at the Brown cemetery in Millersburg.
