ROCHESTER – Jameson Baker turned in an outstanding day to pace the Tippecanoe Valley wrestling team in the Rochester Super 8 on Saturday.

Baker posted a perfect 5-0 mark in the 220-pound weight class to lead the way for the Vikings.

Valley finished with a 1-4 team record in the tournament. The Vikings defeated Southwood 45-30, while losing to host Rochester (64-17), Northfield (46-24), North Miami (42-39) and Clinton Central (45-33).

Chevy Teeter and Mariah Owens each also went unbeaten on the day for Valley. Teeter was 3-0 at 138 and Owens was 2-0 at 113.

Jared Mikel finished 4-1 at 145 for the Vikings in an impressive effort. Isaac Randall (152), Dylan Warner (160) and Tyler Manuzsak (170) each went 3-2. Isaac Lowe (138) and Josh Back (182) were each 2-3. Cody Craig was 0-4 at 285.
