UPDATE: Accident On Detroit Street At NAPA

WARSAW — A driver who fled the scene of a personal injury accident was apprehended a short time later Tuesday, Jan. 12. The accident occurred at 6:31 p.m. on North Detroit Street, north of Lyon Street.

Stephanie L. Norman, 20, East Center Street, Warsaw, was checked by paramedics after complaining of pain to the knee, lower leg area. It is unknown is she was transported to a hospital for further treatment. Also injured was Sean G. Clark, 50, East Forest Circle, Warsaw. Clark also complained of pain to the knee, lower leg area and was checked by paramedics.

Travis J. Johnson, 38, East Center Street, Warsaw, was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital after suffering minor bleeding to the head.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department reports Norman’s 1999 Saturn, struck a 1996 Mercury van driven by Clark. After impact, Clark’s van struck a fire hydrant and the sign at NAPA. Norman fled the scene after the accident and was located by police. While searching the vehicle numerous drugs such as marijuana and needles were located inside the vehicle.

Damage was estimated up to $10,000.
