Laura Mae Conner CunninghamLaura Mae Conner Cunningham, 43, Wawaka, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016. She was born in Goshen, to Jerry and Linda (Reasoner) Conner. On Dec. 1, 1990, she married Jeff Cunningham; he survives.

Laura was a 1990 graduate of West Noble High School. She was the co-owner of Crepe’s bakery in Ligonier and worked at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. Laura loved life. She was a fun, loving, and a carefree person. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, flowers and cooking. She also loved her furbabies, Lilly and Ella.

She is survived by her husband: Jeff Cunningham, Wawaka; parents: Jerry and Linda Conner, Kimmell; a sister: Erica (Dan) Eames, Peru; grandmother: Margaret ‘Maggie’ Conner, Ligonier; nephews: Cody Eames; Casey Eames, both of Peru; nieces: Courtney (Jeremy) Appleton, Mexico; Chloe Eames, Peru; and Stacey Mussleman, Wawaka; mother-in-law: Sondra Luke; sister-in-law: Vickie (Mark) Musselman, both of Wawaka.

A funeral service in Laura’s honor will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at Yeager Funeral Home, Ligonier. Pastor John Randolph will officiate. Burial will follow at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell. Family and friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at Yeager Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be directed to Miami County 4H Fairgrounds care of The Fair Board, Peru, in honor of her nieces and nephews to whom she was very close and loved dearly.
