Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

9:16 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, West CR 100S west of South SR 25, Warsaw. Driver: Dylan K. Manwaring, 17, West SR 25, Mentone. Manwaring hit ice and lost control of his vehicle, which spun off the road and rolled into a field. Manwaring was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital with small abrasions to his head. A passenger in Manwaring’s vehicle, Kinzie Prater, 15, was transported to KCH with neck and head pain and bleeding to her right hand. Damage up to $10,000.

6:25 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, West US 30 south of North SR 19, Etna Green. Drivers: Martin S. Anderson, 39, College Avenue, Rochester, and Christopher Bradfield, 25, East Jackson Street, Mentone. Anderson turned into the path of Bradfield’s oncoming vehicle and they collided. Medics checked an infant passenger in Anderson’s vehicle but found no injuries. Damage up to $10,000.

7:22 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, South Packerton Road south of East CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Hannah J. Little, 21, East CR 1300S, Silver Lake. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.

4:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, North Kalorama Road and North CR 400E, Warsaw. Driver: Alice M. Thompson, 39, Lothamer Lane, Avilla. A deer ran into Thompson’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

5:20 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 540 Clinic Court, Warsaw. Driver: Antwon E. Sutton, 19, South CR 325E, Warsaw. Hit parked car. Sutton left the scene and later went to the police to report criminal mischief to his vehicle. He was cited for leaving the scene of an accident. Damage under $750.

2:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 848 E. Smith St., Warsaw. Driver: Unknown. An unknown driver hit a parked car in the Lakeview Middle School parking lot and drove away. Damage up to $2,500.

Winona Lake

Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:

12:03 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, Roy Street east of Marjorie Street, Winona Lake. Driver: Gerald D. Higgins, 16, East CR 400S, Warsaw. Higgins swerved to miss an oncoming vehicle, lost control of his vehicle and went off the roadway, striking a NIPSCO pole. He was cited for failure to reduce speed where required. He was treated at the scene for contusions and bruises to the knee. Damage up to $10,000.

8:12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, Wooster Road and Nottingham Place, Winona Lake. Driver: Jacob R. Chalk, 25, East Barberry Drive, Warsaw. A deer ran into the side of Chalk’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
