Pilots Fall To Goshen
GOSHEN – A poor first half was too much for the Bethel College men’s basketball team to overcome on Saturday.
The Pilots fell behind by double digits at the break en route to dropping a 76-74 final to host Goshen College in Crossroads League action.
Bethel shot just 11-32 in the opening half to trail the Maple Leafs 36-25 at intermission.
Gage Ott led the way for the Pilots with 18 points. Caleb Oetjen finished with 16 points and Clay Yeo added 13 for Bethel.
The Pilots were just 3-15 from 3-point range in the league loss.
Dominique Bolden popped in 20 points to lead the way for the Leafs. Goshen hit 9-18 from distance in the win.
Austin Hayden and Christian Grider each finished with 15 points for the winners.
Bethel drops to 13-4 overall and 3-3 in the Crossroads League. Goshen improves to 11-7 overall and 3-3 in the conference.
Bethel hosts league foe Huntington University on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
