Joyce Rosella LeekJoyce Rosella Leek, Warsaw, passed away at 7 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw at the age of 88.

She attended high school in Litchfield, Ill. and was a resident of Kosciusko County, for the past 71 years. Joyce worked in the customer service department at Zimmer, Inc. of Warsaw for 17 years. She was owner of Leek Arabians of Warsaw, member of the Hoosier Horsemen Association, and past member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Joyce loved animals of all kinds, but most of all she loved her family…her home was always open.

Joyce was born on Dec. 2, 1927, in Detroit, Mich. to Edward Rapsavage and Iva Loreana (Friend) Rapsavage Ketchum. On Nov. 10, 1945, she was married to Elmer Leek, who passed away on June 11, 2002.

She will be lovingly remembered by daughter: Lana (Greg) O’Connell-Evans, Warsaw; four sons: Kenneth (Marsha) Leek, Rockmart, Ga.; Larry (Sylvia) Leek, Warsaw; Timothy (Cindy) Leek, Springfield, Mo.; Terry (Lisa) Leek, Warsaw; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers: Philip (Eleanor) Rapsavage, Warsaw; Wayne Rapsavage, Warsaw; and her sister: Deanna (Rex) Gregory, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. Her funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home of Warsaw and officiated by Ken Locke. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.

Memorial donations may be directed to Harbor Light Hospice, Mishawaka, and would be appreciated by the family.
