Russell Eugene Haggard, 43, Pierceton, passed away at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, in his residence.

On Nov. 23, 1972, he was born in Anderson, to James and Alice (Rice) Haggard. He moved to Pierceton from Anderson in 1996. He was a great father.

Russell is survived by his companion: Christine Shafer, Pierceton; his daughter: Elizabeth Haggard, Pierceton; two brothers: Wayne Haggard, Anderson; and James Haggard, Tenn.; and his sister: Carolyn Haggard, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Teresa.

Visitation hours will be from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. There are no funeral services planned and burial will be at a later date.
