Yeo Paces Pilots To Big Road Win
INDIANAPOLIS – Clay Yeo led the Bethel College men’s basketball team to a huge conference road win Tuesday night.
Yeo poured in 22 points as the No. 7 Pilots topped No. 4 Marian 76-68 in a key Crossroads League clash.
Bethel junior guard Yeo, a former star at Triton High School, also had 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season for the Pilots.
Bethel, which was coming off a home loss to No. 1 ranked Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday, used a 15-2 run in the opening half to take control. The Pilots led 34-19 early on and led 38-26 at halftime en route to the league win.
Travis Smith added 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Pilots. Ryan Wassink finished with 13 points. Jordyn Coon, a WCHS product, had six points and three rebounds for the winners.
Wesley Stowers led Marian with a game-high 25 points.
Bethel improves to 13-3 overall and 3-2 in league play. Marian drops to 15-2 overall and 3-2.
Bethel plays another league contest on Saturday at Goshen College at 3 p.m.
