Valley Girls Roll To Another Hoops Win
AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team rolled right along Tuesday night.
Meredith Brouyette led the way this time as the Vikings routed visiting Logansport 62-29 in a non-conference contest.
Brouyette canned a game-high 19 points as the smooth guard hit five 3-pointers for the hosts in the dominating win.
Valley, which is ranked No. 6 in Class 3-A, led 18-6 after the first quarter and 34-13 at halftime.
Anne Secrest added 13 points and 10 rebounds for Valley, which improved to 14-1 with its ninth straight win. Valley’s lone loss came in the title game of its own tourney to Westfield back in late November.
Addy Miller netted seven points for the Vikings as all 10 players scored for the winners.
Logansport drops to 1-14 with its ninth straight loss.
Valley hosts Northfield in a Three Rivers Conference game Thursday night. The Vikings then play at NorthWood Jan. 12 and at Rochester on Jan. 16 in a huge TRC game versus the No. 1 ranked and undefeated Zebras.
Logansport plays at Kokomo Friday night.
