Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
2:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, East US 30 and South SR 13, Pierceton. Drivers: Nicholas S. Lindberg, 24, East Ladino Drive, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Curtis E. Campbell, 67, South First Street, Pierceton, and Angela M. Carr, 38, Nickolas Drive, Lebanon, Tenn. The light at the intersection turned green and Lindberg ran the red light in his semi, broad-siding Campbell’s vehicle. Carr had stopped to avoid being hit but some debris hit her vehicle. A passenger in Campbell’s car, Starla J. Campbell, 66, South First Street, Pierceton, was taken to Lutheran Hospital with complaints of pain. Lindberg and Campbell were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for a standard blood draw. Campbell was later arrested for operating while intoxicated. Damage up to $100,000.
10:14 a.m. Friday, Dec. 25, South CR 1300W and West CR 800S, Mentone. Drivers: Alicia J. High, 22, West Yant Street, Silver Lake, and Remington E. Bender, 23, East Fourth Street, Rochester. High’s vehicle rear-ended Bender’s. Damage up to $10,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:46 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, East CR 1000N and North Syracuse-Webster Road, North Webster. Driver: Benjamin S. Wirebaugh, 18, North CR 450E, Syracuse. Wirebaugh lost control of his vehicle, which left the roadway and hit a tree stump. Damage up to $2,500.
