WARSAW — The Warsaw Rotary Club has announced Darl McCammon as the 2015 winner of the Pete Thorn Award.

The Rotary notes McCammon has been instrumental at the Animal Welfare League, where she acts as the director, as well as Walk n’ Wander, an event that showcased statues throughout Warsaw last year.

In addition, McCammon is involved with the Lakeland Art Association and coordinates mobile meals for the Warsaw Rotary Club.

The club presents the annual “Pete” Thorn Excellence Award to recognize a person who has served the community in the spirit of the late and longtime Rotarian Pete Thorn.
