WARSAW – While consumers around the area have been emptying their pursues and wallets as Black Friday, and more recently, Cyber Monday, have ushered in the Christmas season, the Lake City Roller Dolls helped put materials back into some purses.

Sunday evening the Roller Dolls stuffed 38 purses with various items of personal necessity like combs, toothbrushes, gloves, hats, soaps, shampoos and body wash as part of the 5,000 Purses Project. The goal of the Roller Dolls was to fill 20 purses full of donated items the club gathered over the past two weeks. With nearly double the original goal, the club will donate the purses to local women’s shelters in Kosciusko County to distribute to women in need.
