Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department will offer fly fishing workshops to beginner and advanced fishers alike on Saturday, Sept. 29.

A beginners workshop, scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon, will cover basic fly fishing techniques, including casting, safety and more. It will also cover basic fly tying, including basic knots and bugs.

An intermediate/advanced workshop, planned for 1 to 2:30 p.m., will improve casting proficiency and cover special situations under the guidance of an instructor.

The workshops will be led by instructor Charlie Ray.

The cost is $10 per person and the minimum age is 11. All equipment will be provided by the instructor. Both workshops will be held at Nye Park, just west of Center Lake Beach and the boat ramp.

Registration forms may be downloaded from the website and mailed with payment, or registrations can be completed at the Central Park Office. The registration deadline is Sept. 26.
