AKRON — On Veterans Day Tippecanoe Valley Football Coach Darin Holsopple and the members of the TVHS Football Team attended a Veterans Day program at Grace College’s Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center, Winona Lake.

The featured speaker was Daniel Rodriguez, a former college football standout at Clemson University and a decorated veteran (the recipient of a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star from his service in Afghanistan). Rodriguez shared his powerful life story, which is the subject of the book “Rise: A Soldier, a Dream, and a Promise Kept.”

In the upcoming year his story will be featured in a movie being produced by Tri-Star Pictures. Rodriguez was also featured on ESPN College Game Day, which can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyOkGXS6fGY.
