Dennis A. Winterrowd, 70, Mishawaka, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Dennis was born on April 28, 1945, in Plymouth, to the late Robert Max Winterrowd and Betty June (Brown) Taylor. He has been a lifelong area resident. Dennis retired in 1994 after 24 years of employment at Toasty’s. He was an avid pool player, enjoyed bowling, and was a fan of Notre Dame football and of the New York Yankees.

Dennis is survived by four sisters: Darlene Winterrowd, Plymouth; Cheryl (J.J.) Forizs, South Bend; Lorraine (John) Khun, Lakeville; and Carol (Dave) Jensen, New Mexico; seven brothers: Michael (Vicky) Winterrowd, Lakeville; Johnnie (Christine) Shankle, Big Lake, Min.; Wade (Deb) Shankle, Crosby, Min.; John (Karen) Oden, Plymouth; Dave (Robin Pickett) Winterrowd, Indianapolis; Ed Hartman, Plymouth; and Bruce Taylor, N.C. Dennis is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister: Christine Amos.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the funeral home.
