
SYRACUSE — A 54-year-old Syracuse man was arrested by police Friday, Nov. 6, on preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine, a level 5 felony and possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony.
Charges were filed Oct. 27 in Kosciusko Circuit Court, against Alexander Puntus, 54, 303 E. North Kitson Lane, Syracuse after he sold one gram of methamphetamine to an individual for $25.
Court documents state a purchase was arranged between an individual and Puntus on May 8, at his residence. The purchase was made in the garage of Puntus’ residence. Puntus allegedly joked with the buyer that he should frisk the individual before handing the person the meth. The purchase was tested by police, which tested positive for meth and weighed less than one gram.
Puntus is being held on $10,000 surety and $250 cash bond.
