Lavore E. Nesbitt, 96, Warsaw, passed away at 12:31 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
On May 5, 1919, she was born in Lamar County, Ala. to Jesse and Verla (Osborn) Christian. She was united in marriage to Leroy McDonald in Nov. 1935 in Lamar, Ala., who preceded her in death on July 19, 1975.
Lavore moved to Indiana in 1951 and then returned to Alabama in 1974. She then moved back to Indiana in 2006, living in North Manchester and Warsaw. She worked with several companies, including Sun Metal, Warsaw for twenty five to thirty years. She attended Sweetwater Assembly of God, North Manchester and New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, Warsaw. She also attended church services on Sundays at Retired Tigers.
She is survived by her daughter: Dorothy Bumbaugh, North Manchester; her son: Ray (Sandy) McDonald, Dunedin, Fla.; nine grandchildren: Gary; David; Jeff; Joseph; Jim; and Paul Bumbaugh; and Steven; Robert; and Kurt McDonald; and her special friend: Monte Lackey, Warsaw. She is survived by 25 great-grandchildren; 33 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; and several sister-in-laws; nephews; and nieces. She was also preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; and one sister.
A memorial service will be at noon Saturday, Oct. 31, in New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, Warsaw with Pastor John B. Lowe officiating. Burial will be at a later date. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with the arrangements.
