Whitko Crushes Prairie Heights
SOUTH WHITLEY – The Whitko football team started its postseason journey off on the right foot Friday night. The Wildcats dominated visiting Prairie Heights 45-0 at Ryan Huff Field.
Garrett Elder scored four times on the ground, Hunter Reed added another two scores while Gavin Powell also found the end zone.
Whitko racked up 421 offensive yards to Prairie Heights’ -35.
Elder ran for 150 yards total while reed was not far behind at 111 yards rushing. five other players had 20 or more rushing yards for the Wildcats. Zach Hewitt led Whitko with seven tackles and a pair of sacks.
Whitko (5-5) will play host to Whitley County foe Churubusco (6-4) next Friday. The Eagles beat South Adams 34-3.
