KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Halloween night’s thrills and chills will be a little bit longer than usual this year. That is because the public is reminded to set back their clocks by an hour in observance of the conclusion of daylight saving time in the area, which concludes at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1.

Though smartphones with automatic date and time settings will adjust automatically, analog clocks will need to be set back by an hour manually (a change that is suggested to be made before going to bed on Saturday evening).

Daylight saving time starts on the second Sunday in March when clocks are set forward 1 hour and ends on the first Sunday in November each year.
