SYRACUSE — Wawasee Community Education Foundation announced the 2015 teacher grant awards Wednesday, Oct. 21. All current Wawasee teachers were eligible to apply.

Grants awarded are as follows:

• Milford School, kindergarten and first grade, $1,000 for outdoor classrooms

• Milford School, fourth grade, $500 for Skype with fourth grade

• Syracuse Elementary School, kindergarten, $1,000 for Maker Faire (materials and supplies for 3-D printer)

• North Webster Elementary School, fourth grade, $1,000 for building circuits to expand robotics STEM

• Wawasee Middle School, family and consumer sciences, $500 for Warriors Are Diggin’ It (learning to grow and harvest vegetables and herbs in the greenhouse)

• Wawasee High School, Wawasee Area Career and Technical Center, $1,000 for ECO Challenge (summer camp for selected incoming ninth grade students)
