Thelma Jackson, 85, North Manchester, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw.

She was born March 11, 1930, in Magoffin County, Ky., to Frank Shepherd and Ella Mae Wireman, both deceased. She married Junior S. Jackson on July 8, 1950. He died January 19, 2015. She was a homemaker and retired from United Technologies at North Manchester, after 33 years of service.

Surviving are one son: Henry “Hank” (Marcia) Jackson, Roann; four daughters: Sharlene (Bob) Lewis, North Webster; Nadene Honeycutt, Ky.; Julene (Craig) Latham, North Manchester; Luella (Alan) Earl, Argos. One daughter: Christine, died in 1989. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Joe Shepherd, Silver Lake; Jeff (Vicki) Shepherd, North Webster; three sisters: Ocie Shumaker, Akron; Cynthia Harmon, Wabash; Avenell (Gary) Smith, Akron. She was also preceded in death by one grandchild; six brothers; and two sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, with Pastor Dave Cox officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester.
