Tippy Valley SportsBREMEN – The Tippecanoe Valley volleyball team lost a 3-1 final to Bremen Thursday night.

The Vikings took the opening set 25-20 before the hosts won the final three 25-19, 25-20, 25-19 in the non-conference contest.

Abby Betten led the way for the Vikings with 18 kills and four aces. Maddy Henninger had 37 assists, while Lexi O’Connell had 1.5 blocks and Shayleigh Shriver 14 digs for Valley.

Valley falls to 17-12 on the season.

The Vikings will play Northfield and Warsaw in the Warsaw Spiker Invitational on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Valley will then face NorthWood on Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Class 3-A West Noble Sectional.

Football C Team Rolls In Finale

The Tippecanoe Valley football C team rolled past Southwood 34-0 on its season finale.

Jon Humes rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns and a two-point conversion for the Vikings. Humes also threw a 55-yard touchdown pass to Camden Tucker.

Jonathon Fields rushed for 80 yards and scored a two-point conversion. Sam Bell rushed for a touchdown, while Dwight Conley had eight yards rushing and Alex Bell six.

 

 

Jonathan Daily led the defense with three solo and eight assisted tackles and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.  Humes had three solo tackles, Tucker three solo, two sacks and an interception and Austin Vining two solo and two assisted tackles and one for a loss. Fields had two solo and three assists stops and Alex Bell two solo and one assisted.

The team ends its season with a mark of 3-5.
