SYRACUSE — The annual Madrigal Dinner at Castle Dewart is about to commence. But some strange things are causing a bit of confusion among the minstrels, Lord Christopher and his mother, Lady Elizabeth. Amidst music, comedy and chaos, a source of panic: “The King is to arrive soon! Will the telling of the story of the birth of the Savior be lost? Or will the true meaning of Christmas be a remembrance for all?”

Beginning their 11th season, the Lakes Area Players will once again whisk you back to the 16th century of merry old England. The merriment to this year will include some mystery as we dine, and the King of the land has been invited to join us as well. The lords and ladies of the high court send a special invitation to you to come and dine with them enjoying the delicious feast provided by the Quaker Haven culinary staff.

Come and experience a pleasant mix of sacred and secular music while dining by candle light in the exquisite Great Hall.  This will be an evening of joy, but also an evening of reflection, where one can pause to hear the real reason for celebrating Christmas: The story of the birth of Jesus, as told from the Book of Luke.

Guests are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the performance and check in at the podium in the lobby of the Dining Hall. The performance will last approximately two hours.

Call Quaker Haven Camp at (574) 834-4193 to reserve your table and ask for additional information. Quaker Haven is located at the corner of CR 900N and CR 500E at the south edge of Syracuse.
