Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:41 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, West CR 400N and North CR 700W, Warsaw. Drivers: Samantha M. Blakley, 26, North CR 1100W, Etna Green, and Ryan S. Phillips, 21, South CR 1000W, Mentone. Blakley turned in front of Phillips and his vehicle collided with hers. Blakley was transported to the hospital with complaints of back pain. A passenger in Blakley’s vehicle, Barbara J. Blakley 45, East North Street, North Webster, was also transported with complaints of hip and upper leg pain. A third passenger, Harley Ashby, 4 months, Etna Green, also in Blakley’s vehicle, was reported as injured. Damage up to $10,000.
4:53 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, North CR 300E north of East CR 1100N, Syracuse. Driver: Oskar G. Gordillo, 21, North Park Avenue, Warsaw. Gordillo began falling asleep while driving, ran off the road, overcompensated and ran into a ditch on the opposite side of the road. Damage up to $10,00.
4:20 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, North SR 25 and West CR 1000N, Milford. Drivers: Shannon M. Witham, 35, East Broadway Street, Burket, and Juana Vallin-Montano, 22, North Cheyenne Drive, Warsaw. Vallin-Montano hit her brakes to avoid hitting two dogs and Witham’s vehicle rear-ended hers. Damage up to $5,000.
10:05 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, South Ferguson Road and West CR 200S, Warsaw. Drivers: Brenda K. Miller, 54, West CR 250S, Warsaw, and Vickie L. Holderman, 41, Apple Road, Bourbon. After stopping at a stop sign, Miller proceeded into the path of Holderman’s oncoming vehicle. Holderman’s vehicle struck Miller’s. Holderman was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital with complaints of chest pain. Damage up to $10,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident.
7:59 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, Union Drive and Chestnut Street, Winona Lake. Driver: Wilbert L. Grayson, 26, Chamberlin Court, New Haven. Hit parked car. Damage up to $5,000.
