INDIANAPOLIS – The Grace College men’s tennis team’s run through the 2015 Crossroads League Tournament ended on Thursday.

The Lancers (6-5) lost 5-2 to the No. 1 seed Marian 5-2 in the semifinals.

The Knights (10-1) took an early advantage by winning two of the three doubles’ points. Danila Kurkulin and Ethan Grove teamed up for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles, but Marian claimed points at No. 2 and No. 3 with identical 8-4 scorelines.

Grove earned his second point of the day with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 win at No. 3 singles, but that proved to be the final points of Grace’s day. Ricardo Bedon, Gabe Vervynckt and Adam Yoder were defeated in straight sets as Marian advanced to the championship match.
