LCA Sees Soccer Season End In Sectional

Lakeland SportsARGOS – The Lakeland Christian Academy boys soccer team put up a strong showing Wednesday night in a 3-0 sectional loss to Bremen.

The Lions earned the win in a semifinal matchup of the Class 1-A Argos Sectional.

Bremen advances to play the host Dragons in the sectional title match at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Argos blanked Culver 5-0 in the other semifinal tilt Wednesday evening.

The LCA defense, led by Melissa Goss and Jeremy Gross, only allowed one first-half goal to the Lions.

Bremen broke through for a pair of goals in the second half. The Cougars had a chance to score, but could not convert a penalty kick in the final half.

Goalie Cross Williams had 15 saves in the match for LCA. Bremen had an 18-0 advantage in shots on goal in the contest.

LCA finishes its season with a record of 0-17.
