Homer Dale Sommers, 71, of Rochester passed away at 6:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at his residence.

On Feb. 27, 1944, Homer Dale was born to Daniel A. and Beulah F. Lockridge Sommers.

Growing up, he shared his childhood with a brother Donald.

Dale is lovingly remembered by two daughters: Erica Delgadillo of Fort Collins, Colo., Bettina Kay Sullivan and husband Robert of Rochester; a son: Scott Sommers of Rochester; two grandchildren: Alexis L. Delgadillo and Michael A. Delgadillo; a sister-in-law: Karen Sommers of Logansport and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Dale in death are his parents, a granddaughter, Amber Nicole Sutton, a grandson, Tanner John Sutton and a brother, Donald Sommers.

Services will be private with interment in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
