
WARSAW — Heartline Pregnancy Center Inc. invites the community to participate in their annual “Walk for Life/5K” event on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the K21 Health Services Pavilion, Warsaw. Participants can register online at www.friendsofheartline.webs.com.
The “Walk for Life/5K,” sponsored by Heartline Pregnancy Center, will benefit the pregnancy center that serves Kosciusko, Fulton, and Whitley counties. Registration is $25 for 5K participants or 5K and Walk participants may choose to collect sponsorship pledges. Participants who raise $500 or more in pledges will receive a free T-shirt.
Participant registration and tours of Heartline Pregnancy Center begin at 8 a.m., pre-registration is recommended. The 5K will take place at 9 a.m. and the 2-mile walk will be at 10 a.m. on the Beyer Farm Greenway at the K21 Health Services Pavilion, 1515 Provident Drive, Warsaw.
Pledge forms and registration information is available at participating churches, the Heartline Pregnancy Center office located in the K21 Health Services Pavilion, or online. This year’s theme is “The real deal: SuperHero Walk for Life/5K.” Along with great prizes for top fundraisers a costume contest will be held for the most creative super hero costume.
“This is our sixth annual Walk for Life and we are so excited to have added the 5K event this year. It’s a great, fun, family-oriented event. We have great prizes available for those participating,” says, Emily Shipley, director of development.
