Edwin L. Gordon, 80, Huntertown, passed away at 11:55 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Gordon was born on June 11, 1935, in Allen County, a son of Herbert and Wanda (Strite) Gordon. He spent his formative years in Churubusco, and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1953.

After high school he serviced in the United States Army. On June 13, 1980 he was married to Victoria (Felger) Spangler. He was employed at CNA Tools, and retired as an Engineer.

He is survived by his wife: Vickie Gordon, Huntertown; four sons: Nick (Juanita) Gordon, Churubusco; Jeffery (Michelle) Gordon, Montpelier; Dean Spangler, Huntertown; and Dennis (Mary) Spangler, Fort Wayne; daughter: Kristina (Steve) Bohata, Ossian; a brother: Scott (Pamela) Gordon, Churubusco; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Herbert and Wanda (Strite) Gordon; two brothers: Franklin and Richard Gordon; a daughter: Zania L. Gordon; a granddaughter: Kelsey L. Gordon; a grandson: Bradley J. Spangler.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Ken Keener, officiating. Followed by Military Rites. The family will receive friends at the Sheets and Childs Funeral Home from 2-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1.
