GARY — The Gary Police Department is investigating the disappearance of an adult from Gary, Ind., and a regional silver alert has been issued.

Gary, Ind., is located approximately 30 miles north of Chicago.

Carolyn Rimpson is a 61-year-old black female, 5 feet tall, 120 pounds, with braided black hair and brown eyes. Carolyn Rimpson was last seen at 8 a.m. Thursday Sept. 24, in Gary, Ind., and is believed to be in danger. When last seen she was wearing black pants, white checkered jacket with baby blue stripes and a black cap. She is believed to be traveling on foot.
