Carol Ann Owens, Winona Lake, passed away at 3:05 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw at the age of 78.

She had been a resident of Kosciusko County, since 1990, prior to that she had lived in Wabash County. Carol had worked as a nurses aid at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester for about 19 years and retired in 1991.

She was born on Jan. 7, 1937, in Wabash, to Verlin Parson and Ruby Pearl (Sutton) Parson. On June 11, 1990, she was married to Orville Owens, who survives in Winona Lake.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: John (Barb) Owens, Warsaw; Timothy Joe (Daniela) Conley, Butler; two daughters: Cynthia (Randy) Schmucker, Spencerville; Cheryl (Rod) Davis, Nappanee; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister: Joyce (Jim) Emrick, Wabash; and two brothers: Max Parson, Wabash; Tony (Barb) Parson, North Manchester. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 1, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. Her funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, and officiated by Chaplain Robert Jarboe. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Fairview Cemetery of North Manchester, Indiana.
