
WARSAW – Warsaw added another shiny notch to its volleyball belts this season, winning the Warsaw Tiger Volleyball Invite Saturday at the Tiger Den.
Warsaw dropped some historically relevant teams in pool play, beating Fort Wayne Snider 25-16, 25-11, Muncie Burris 25-21, 25-7 and Southwood 25-17, 25-19. In the championship round, Warsaw defeated LaPorte 25-18, 25-17 for the title.
Jordyn Lindeman continued to improve, leading the team with 34 kills, seven blocks and six aces. Peyton Adamiec had 55 digs and Cassie Hoag posted 89 assists, five assists and two blocks.
Lina Mayer was all over the place for Warsaw, registering 29 kills, 27 digs, five aces and two blocks. Lexie Day added 20 kills and two blocks and Brynn Durecki had five aces.
Warsaw improves to 18-7 on the season and will have a tough one Thursday at Northern Lakes Conference rival NorthWood.
