Volleyball Goes Without Win In Crown Point
The Warrior spikers had a rough showing at the Crown Point Invite. Wawasee lost each of its four matches. Wawasee only won one game all day in those four match losses, 25-20 over Kankakee Valley, but Valley would win the next two sets to start a six game losing streak for the Warriors.
Hannah-Marie Lamle led the Warriors for the day with 14 kills. Peyton Rookstool added 16 assists while Madi Wilson had 29 digs.
Wawasee (3-21) will travel to Elkhart Memorial on Thursday.
JV Football Falls To Plymouth
The Wawasee freshmen football team fell 19-9 to Plymouth Saturday morning.
Will Geer scored on a 60-yard run while Dalton Pearish blocked a punt for a safety to give Wawasee its nine points. Geer was 12-25 for 107 yards through the air.
Wawasee (2-4) will host Warsaw next Saturday.
Harriers Run In Culver
The boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Culver Military Invite Saturday.
The girls finished 12th and were paced by Aubrey Kuhn (21:25). The boys placed 19th and were paced by a time of 18:16 from Sam Griner.
Both teams will compete at the NLC meet next Saturday at Oxbow.
