Incidents
The following incidents were recently investigated by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department:

  • July 15, 8:54 a.m. Panisha Hairrell, North Crete Dr., Warsaw, reported the theft of her purse from her vehicle.
  • July 15, 7:45 a.m. Cory Truex, South Wausau Street, Warsaw, reported the theft of an iPod from his vehicle.
  • July 15, 7:16 a.m. Mark Long, Claypool, reported the theft of a pocket bike from his residence.
  • July 15, 8 a.m. Dave Bartley of Warsaw, reported copper wiring had been stolen from a house being renovated at 8971 S. 100 E.
  • July 15, 2:52 a.m. While investigating a battery, officers made contact with a suspect who transported the initial suspect away from the scene. That person was found to be in possession of marijuana.
  • July 14, 9:36 a.m. A Pierceton woman reported being battered by her boyfriend and being choked until she passed out. Matthew Hoshal was arrested for domestic battery.
  • July 14, 10:44 p.m. Thomas Seaberg of Mentone reported a theft of nylon rope.
  • July 14, 5:30 a.m. Michael Baum of Warsaw reported the theft of tools from his vehicle.
  • July 14, 12:30 p.m. A Warsaw girl reported someone keyed a derogatory word into her car while it was parked at the fairgrounds.
  • July 13, 4:25 p.m. Officers followed up on a report of two suspects selling marijuana to juveniles. Jeffery Owsley, 19, Albion, and Ashley Ann Buckles, 18, Albion, were arrested.
  • July 13, 6:48 p.m. Officers were called for an intoxicated male subject at the fairgrounds.
  • July 13, 8:23 a.m. A Syracuse man reported being battered by a man who he has had ongoing problems with.
  • July 12, 12:30 p.m. William Hamilton of Warsaw reported the theft of rims and tires, a power washer, generator and TV from his residence. 
  • July 12, 12:11 p.m. Officers investigated a family fight where a 12-year-old girl battered her mother and grandmother.
  • July 12, 11 p.m. Officers were advised of a male subject taking inappropriate pictures of females with his cell phone.
  • July 12, 10:15 a.m. Kosciusko REMC reported theft of services.
  • July 11, 5:25 p.m. Thomas Rose, Southland Drive, Warsaw, reported the theft of tackle boxes from his vehicle.
  • July 11, 2:30 p.m. A Warsaw man reported his daughter battered him.
  • July 10, 11:26 a.m. at SR 15 and CR 600 North. Gino Chiappelli, 26, Warsaw, was arrested for driving while suspended and not wearing a seatbelt after a traffic stop.
