Kayden Michael Mercado, 1 week old, Plymouth, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth. He was born on Sept. 14, 2015, in Mishawaka.

Kayden is survived by his parents: Melissa A. Haas and Ector Mercado; maternal grandparents: Sheila and Gregory Haas, Lakeville; paternal grandparents: Angelica Mercado, Plymouth; great-grandparents: Lenore and LaVon Heidrich, Plymouth; Carol Haas, Plymouth; Estella Mercado, Pharr, Texas; and Antonia Carillo, Mexico. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Jose Mercado, Sept. 18, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville. Friends may visit with the family from 2-3 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at Bremen Cemetery, Bremen.

Contributions in memory of Kayden Michael Mercado may be offered to the charity of the donor’s choice.
